Nicholas Rodriguez Nicholas Rodriguez has traveled the world as a singer and entertainer. In 1995 he was named a “Grammy All-American Vocalist,” and shared the concert stage with Kenny Loggins, All-4-One, and Arturo Sandouval. He has also appeared in concert with the legendary Maya Angelou. His Broadway debut was as Tarzan in Disney’s Tarzan. Nicholas recently worked with Disney again playing Troy Bolton in the development workshop of High School Musical 2. Prior to that, Nicholas originated the role of "Aaron," starring opposite Val Kilmer's "Moses" in the U.S Premiere of The Ten Commandments at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. Nicholas also had the pleasure of playing “Moses” at several performances. He has been seen Off-Broadway in The Toxic Avenger, Almost Heaven: the Songs of John Denver, and in Bajour (Steve). Nicholas has toured as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Che in Evita, and Claude in Hair. His Regional Credits include: Oklahoma! (Curly), Damn Yankees (Joe Hardy), South Pacific (Joe Cable), The King & I as “Lun Tha” with Lou Diamond Phillips, Nefertiti (Akhenaten), Cinderella (Prince Charming), Last 5 Years, Candide with Harrisburg Opera, Love, Valour, Compassion! (Ramon), Master Class (Tony). He has can be heard on the cast albums of The Ten Commandments, and Evita, the cast album of Nefertiti (Carbonell Award Nominee Best Actor in a Musical), as well as Voices of Light: A Collection of Inspirational Songs, and several recordings for Disney.
